Why so many Chinchillas in Rescues?

After a comment Sarah (Sartay) put I thought I would post this topic.

I am a breeder but A responsible one. I will always keep any kits I cant find homes for. I will not breed stupidly and have excessive kits with no homes. I always have no more than 4 Kits at any one time.

Hi, my name is Sabrina, I currently have 5 chins, 4 sugar gliders, 3 parakeets, 3 cats, and a guinea pig.

I am a vegetarian, I have a cosmetology degree, and am hoping to start a rescue of my own soon, as well as my own clothing line.

I currently have 5 chinnies, 3 felmales and 2 males.

I got Princess in October, 2007. Shortly after that I got Sparkles, and she came with a little surprise! New Years morning, I found that she had given birth, to a little boy whom I named Tweak. In mid. Feb. I got Sprinkles, Chip(Sprinkles' son), and Marshmellow, who left our family on Friday May 22 .

These 2 boys live together, and love each other to NO end. They came from seperate homes, but I decided to pair them up. When Tucker first came to me, he was deathly afraid of everything. In his previous home he'd been locked in a room, by himself, with no light or human interaction, except when they threw food at him(Yogurt, canned corn, raisins, dog biscuits, doritos, and peanuts were the "supplies" they provided with him ).

yes you've guessed it, one of my girl chins, summer managed to get out of the cage last night....completely my fault!!!

I fed them all before going to bed and got side tracked and forgot to clasp the girls cage shut with the springs. Next thing I know, in the middle of the night my 3 jack russells were scampering around the house like 3 wild dogs....my first thought was "god theres a mouse in the house". then i thought..."what if its a rat?"....then I thought..."shit, ...

Hi all........I just want to let you know what I think of my Chocolate Burmese cat, Honey. Well 18 months ago I put an ad out for a nice cat. Something a bit different from the norm. I've had cats most of my life and loved them all to pieces. Anyways......after I put the ad out online I received an email from someone saying that she knew a breeder who had a cat that needed a home, i.e. a Chocolate Burmese. Problem was that I had to travel from Keighley down to Derby. Well, it was a lovely sunny ...

I was invited to this new forum, and here I am!

My name is Karli, I am the proud owner of 7 female chinchillas. I am going to pick up chinchilla number 8 tonight... I am quite excited!

I have rescued 2 chinchillas, and am taking on my 3rd rescue girl tonight. Though the girl I am adopting has already been rescued, and is just looking for her forever home.

I only booked it yesterday, the website said all tickets were sold but I phoned the booking office on the off chance and got two tickets and surprisingly they are good seats as well. Hello all, My name is Kelly, I Live on Canvey Island, Essex. I've had chinchillas for about 20 years now, for the first 12 years just as pets then eventually went onto breeding and have never looked back. I'm a full time mum so my day consists of juggling kids and chinchillas.

I've got various other pets including horses, dogs, cats which all keep me busy but I wouldn't be without them.
